Hotel grounds are surrounded by historical Hawaiian fish ponds and petroglyphs with a panoramic view of snow - topped Mauna Kea. Mauna Lani Bay sits on the finest stretch of shoreline on the sunny Kohala Coast of the Big Island. The main structure faces the ocean and is in the Atrium style with waterfalls, fish and turtle ponds, and abundant trees and plants. Located on the ancient, 16th century Kaniku lava flow and dotted with 15 acres of ancient springfed Hawaiian fishponds. Historic parks and preserves with petroglyphs; shleter caves; the resorted King's Trail, Ala Loa. Lush grounds, and ten spectacular man-made ponds teeming with tropical fish and green sea turtles.

Driving Directions:

From Keahole - Kona Airport: At the airport entrance, turn left on Highway 19. Approximately 23 miles north, Mauna Lani Drive will be on your left. Turn left onto Mauna Lani Drive. Go all the way to the end of the road. You are now at Mlbh.
To Keahole - Kona Airport / Kailua-Kona Town: Turn right at hotel entrance on to Highway 19 - 23 miles later, Keahole-Kona Airport will be on your right. To go into Kailua-Kona Town, continue on highway 19 - 8 miles past the airport.
From Hilo International Airport: You are now on Kekuanaoa street - airport access road. Turn right on to Kanoeleua street. At the first traffic signal turn left. You are now on Kamehameha Avenue. Go through the next traffic signal. Lane merges to the right and pick's up Highway 19. Highway 19 will take you into Waimea. At the 4 way intersection, turn right. Shell service is on the right / chevron is on the left. You are on your way to Kawalhae. About 11 miles down the Kawaihae road, turn left to continue on Highway 19. Going straight will take you to Kawaihae Harbor. Approximately 7 miles away a sign will say Mauna Lani Drive. Turn right onto Mauna Lani Drive. Go all the way to the end of the road. You are now at the hotel.
